In news that came out of nowhere this morning, EA Sports announced that UFC 5 is in development. The EA Sports UFC series began in 2014. The games have consistently done well and been popular, even though it has never been released annually like other sports titles such as FIFA and Madden NFL.
UFC 4 was recently added to Xbox Free Play Days for Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscribers to try. Now that UFC 5 has been revealed to be in development, this was probably no coincidence.
The news of UFC 5 was confirmed by EA Sports on Twitter, alongside a coming soon video. While the video revealed almost nothing about the upcoming game other than its logo, the Tweet stated that the full reveal of UFC 5 will be coming in September 2023.

UFC 5 will likely be released within 2023, and considering that the UFC remains the most popular MMA promotion in the world, fans will surely be in for a treat when the new title releases.
