Dying Breed will Feature FMV Cutscenes and You’ll Love it

Dying Breed might just be the RTS that 90s RTS gamers have been praying for since the good old days of Command and Conquer Red Alert.

Developed by Sarnayer, the company has teamed up with the legendary retro publisher MicroProse who has brought us genre-defining titles like Civilization and Xcom.

The game promises fast-paced action, evil arch enemies, zombies and ‘retro-futuristic tech’, but the best promise of all is the full motion video cutscenes that will be featured.

While the ones we get to see in the announcement trailer may seem like they’re acted out poorly, it’s that charm that made FMV cutscenes such a great addition to the 90s RTS games like C&C.

Dying Breed also features the classic pixelated art style where each character only has around four different movement frames and giant, three-fanged worms seem to be quite prevalent as well.

You can add the game to your wishlist on Steam, but we still have no release date. All I can say is, “Begin full production of the gas!”
