Diablo IV has been out for just over a month now and some people are getting a bit antsy on what to do next. Well, we do know that the first season is coming later this month, but along with that comes the task of having to create a new character.
Every season will require players to create a new character from scratch to be able to play in the new season’s stories and enjoy the content, and once the season is over the character will get sent back to the main game along with all their acquired seasonal loot.
Diablo has done this before so it’s nothing new, but now some fans are asking for another one of the old seasonal features, just to improve the quality of life aspects of Diablo IV.
The rebirth feature will allow players to use the same character for each season, but they will still start from level 1, with no gear and skills. The character does keep their total play time though, which is a nice statistic to see for diehard gamers.
Currently, Diablo IV doesn’t support Rebirth, but when the community manager was asked about it he said that it doesn’t feature in the game “yet”.
Reading too much into that one single word could break a lot of hearts, but it could also mean that the feature will come through to the game, possibly closer to the beginning of the next season where it will find more use.
For now, I’m still 50 levels behind everyone else in the world and I’ve got a lot of grinding to do before Season of the Malignant drops on the 20th of July.
