GeForce Now In South Africa, One Step Closer to Launch

It’s almost the news a lot of us have been waiting for.

GeForce Now South African Servers are online and can be seen on GeForce Now, but when going through all the steps, users are met with an Error 404 just before choosing their Nvidia subscription. We know that Rain is currently in the closed beta-testing phase of the service.

We’re so close!

In an article posted on My Broadband, it was found by some of their readers that the South African Server, dubbed AF South, for the GeForce Now Cloud Gaming experience is able to be picked from the dropdown list.

You can also select Rain as your provider and go almost all the way through the procedure, even testing your connection to the new South African server, but we get stopped right at the very end.

Rain has sent out a statement saying that they are “currently in an internal beta phase and are preparing to expand the beta programme to selected customers in the near future”.

We know that this internal beta started a month later than expected and, although we are already in Q3 of the year, the “expanded” beta was supposed to start in Q2.

I know we aren’t there yet, but seeing it actually pop up online is some real exciting news and you can bet your bottom dollar that we are going to be giving you our opinions on the platform as soon as we have access.

You can read My Broadband’s full article here, where they also post pictures of the current experience and their speed test to the local server.
