Dead By Daylight Details Future Updates

Some of the more notable killers in everyone’s favourite team-based survival game, Dead by Daylight, are changing in an update set to be released soon.

Since its initial release, Behaviour Interactive, the developers behind the game, have constantly been releasing new content for the game and adjustments and balances. Because of this constant evolution in content, that game has remained in the top 20 most-played games on Steam, even seven years after launch. According to Behaviour Interactive, this update will be released alongside the next big Dead by Daylight event and will see changes put into place for Onryo, Executioner, Spirit, and Hag killers.

Out of the killers that this update will focus on, Onryo will receive the most attention and abilities like Projection, cursed tapes and demanifestation will all be buffed or debuffed dependent.

The Projection ability will receive an added 15-second cooldown to offset the Condemned effect, which sees its own alterations, and cursed tapes will play more of a role after the patch goes live.

The Hag and Spirit will only receive adjustments to add-ons like the Mint Rag and Dried Cherry Blossom. Still, The Executioner will see an improvement to its built-in mechanic preventing it from standing too close to cages with survivors.

Another change coming to the game was announced during the Dead by Daylight Anniversary broadcast. Behaviour Interactive will start revisiting the original maps in this update and modernise them, bringing them more in line with newer, more popular maps like Toba Landing.

Behaviour Interactive is yet to announce when this update will roll out. Still, if you’d like to read the full patch notes and stay on top of anything Dead By Daylight related, you can follow the link here.
