At the start of June, we wrote a post that you can read here, all about the Lord of the Rings x Magic the Gathering crossover and the one-out-of-one The One Ring card.
The Magic: The Gathering x Lord of the Rings crossover set, Tales of Middle-earth, contained one copy of The One Ring card hidden in a booster pack.
The one-of-a-kind nature of this card and the golden ticket level of excitement garnered when this card was announced led to one shop offering a million dollars for it before the set was even released, causing the card’s worth to skyrocket even more than it already was.
Magic fans around the world embarked on a rather expensive journey to try and be the ones to find it.

We can now announce that this limited one-of-one card has been found, and card-grading service Professional Sports Authenticator has issued a certificate of authenticity for it alongside a grading of “mint 9”.
Not much is known about the lucky finder of the card, and according to The Wall Street Journal, that won’t change any time soon as the card owner wishes to remain anonymous.
Now that the rush to find the One Ring card is over, players can finally settle down and play some Magic with the cards collected. And for those who prefer to play digitally, the Tales of Middle-earth cards have been added to Magic: The Gathering Arena, which can be found on Steam and Epic Games Store.
