Is it just me or are MOBAs becoming the new “in thing” again?
Theorycraft, a new independent studio that’s been created with a team that has worked on some of the biggest names in gaming, such as League of Legends, Apex, Overwatch, Destiny and Halo, have challenged themselves to create the next ‘10,000 hour game’.
Essentially a game you enjoy playing so much that you just keep playing it.
The team have just recently given us a little sneak peak of their first game, which they’re calling Project Loki, for now.
From the short bits of gameplay, we get in the video, the game looks like a fast-paced, high-action shootout MOBA. Some of the playtesters have said it feels like “League, mixed with Apex, mixed with Smash Bros”.
I’m very excited to see where this new game takes us. Perhaps it’s just the spice we needed to flavour up the MOBA pot.
