The SSAlt Mine: A 32-player 1v1 Rocket League Tournament will get underway this Friday, 30 June 2023.
In the 21 months since SSA was incorporated into the global Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), the top teams in the region have become clear.
The standard game mode in Rocket League is 3v3. However, the pinnacle of individual skill and mental strength is the 1v1 solo duel game mode. And while the best teams have become clear, the question of the best individual player has been left to speculation and emotional outbursts in Twitch chat.
Solo duel, or 1v1, is a game mode where two players face off against each other in a one-on-one match. It’s a highly competitive and intense mode focusing on individual skill, strategy, and decision-making.
That question will be settled this weekend in the SSAlt Mine. The biggest prize pool this game mode has seen, 32 players will compete for R15000. 8 places will be paid, with the champion claiming R5000.
The field includes stellar names in the Rocket League community: Snowyy, 2Die4, Sweaty_Clarence, Wiiilooo, Ram & Eliakim are just some of the players who have become stars in the scene.
The tournament starts on Friday 30 June at 5pm with a group stage of 8 groups of 4 which will be followed by a single elimination bracket. Quarterfinals will be played on Saturday, 1 July and the semi-finals and final on Sunday, 2 July at 5 pm.
All the action will be broadcast on Twitch by ACGL: www.twitch.tv/acgl_alpha
Solo Duel Rocket League is the game’s most gruelling game mode. No teammates, no cover for errors. Just two players facing off for supremacy. It’s a thrilling game mode testing players’ mechanics, decision-making, and mental fortitude. It offers a unique experience of intense one-on-one competition, where every move can make a significant difference.
