IO Interactives New IP RPG Could be an Xbox Exclusive

This whole FTC versus Microsoft thing is just letting out all the internal planning secrets of the company. Turns out that IO Interactive, the company that gives us the epic Agent 47, had pegged their new RPG as ‘XGS Publishing’.

XGS, or Xbox Game Studios, means the game would’ve been published for Microsoft Platforms only, initially. In simple terms, an Xbox (and PC) exclusive.

While we don’t know much about this RPG coming out of IO Interactive, besides it being called ‘Project Dragon’, we can assume that it’s the same RPG that was announced earlier in the year by IOI as they are already working on a James Bond game as well, so a third RPG title just doesn’t sound viable, but, again we are only assuming and we know what assumptions lead to.

“A world and a game built from the core to entertain players and expand for many years to come. It feels familiar, yet at the same time IOI is going on a journey unlike any we have been on before.” was what IOI had to say about their new RPG announced in February.

Either way, ‘Project Dragon’ is set to launch as an Xbox exclusive and hopefully this doesn’t make Sony too jealous, we can currently see how that’s going for everyone.
