Sega has just announced the 2023 Sonic Central event, where Sonic The Hedgehog fans will be treated to glimpses of what the future holds for the iconic blue speed demon. This marks the third such event that Sega has held. If history is anything to go by, it will be Sega’s biggest event of the year, focusing exclusively on Sonic-related news.
The third Sonic Central Event will take place this Friday, the 23rd of June, at 5 pm for those in South Africa and will be broadcast to fans to watch across both YouTube and Twitch.
As of now, Sega has remained surprisingly tight-lipped about what fans can expect to see from the event other than promising a sneak peek of upcoming Sonic projects, which we could have guessed all on our own.

Fans wanting to watch the event this Friday can follow the official Sonic YouTube and Twitch channels link.
This Friday is also the 32nd anniversary of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis, so fans can expect some or other commemorative announcements to be in the cards.
There is also a chance we’ll see more of Sonic Superstars during the event, as the Sonic the Hedgehog co-op game was announced earlier this month during the Summer Game Fest.
Will you be tuning in for the event? Let us know in the comments.
