World Of Warcraft To Bring Back An Old Villain

World Of Warcraft To Bring Back An Old Villain

One of the most well-known and iconic villains will soon return to World of Warcraft in Patch 10.1.5 – albeit in a much smaller way than ever before.

Much of the recent content updates for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has centred around the Bronze Dragonflight, and with the legacy of Deathwing concluded in Embers of Neltharion, the story is now shifting toward the Keepers of Time.

In Patch 10.1.5, players will be returned to one of the more pivotal moments from the World of Warcraft timeline.

Recently, Blizzard removed a somewhat controversial quest that saw players ensuring that Alexstrasza remained a captive of the Dragonmaw Clan to preserve the correct flow of time.

However, this is a quest that many players felt was in poor taste. Considering all of the other critical moments from World of Warcraft’s long history, players started heading to social media, asking Blizzard to choose something more fitting for this era of gaming.

According to the current Public Test Realm build, Blizzard has found the perfect quest to drop in its place. Thanks to the newly added quest on the PTR, players will be able to see Arthas Menethil again.

The newly added quest will require players to replace the icy rocks that shatter Invincible’s front legs as the death of Arthas’ noble steed hardens his heart to commit the Culling of Stratholme.

As those familiar with the World of Warcraft lore already know, being forced to put Invincible out of his misery is a character-defining moment for Arthas Menethil. Likely, he would never have become a Death Knight if Invincible had survived.

This new daily quest is sure to be a significant update over the Alexstrasza quest, and it helps tie in with Eon’s Fringe dailies that revolve around the concept that small changes send ripples across time.
