Crash Team Rumble Might Be Coming To Nintendo Switch Afterall

Fans of Crash Bandicoot who have been on the edges of their seats, hoping and praying for the upcoming Crash Team Rumble game to get a Nintendo Switch launch, might have something to get excited about if a sneaky little leak by Activision is to be believed.

Over the last couple of years, the childhood classic franchise has seen a significant resurgence with both the remake of the original Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the launch of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. With today’s release of Crash Team Rumble, players can take on the role of several characters, split into two teams of four to compete to collect the most Wumpa fruit.

Crash Team Rumble, the Crash Bandicoot-themed multiplayer party game, is expected to launch across all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch. However, that might all change if this text on the Activision support page is to be believed

Last night, Twitter user Crash Bandicoot World spotted some text on Activision’s website that suggested players update their systems before installing the game today and offered directions for how to update PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles.

However, shortly after fans spotted this message and went on social media to post about their excitement, the page was edited, and all mentions of the Nintendo Switch were promptly removed.

As it stands now, there has yet to be a word from either Activision or Toys for Bob on whether or not this was a mistake or a premature reference to a future announcement.

Crash Team Rumble launched today for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Will you be picking up this nostalgia-filled multiplayer party game? Or will you be waiting for it to arrive on the Nintendo Switch…if it ever does? Let me know in the comments.
