Everybody stay calm and remember to breathe. It’s finally here, the long weekend. This means that we now have 72 hours of uninterrupted gaming time. The only thing that could throw a cog into the works is feeling like you have nothing to play – a problem Epic Games Store is happy to solve.
If you don’t already take advantage of the weekly free games gifted to you by Epic Games Store, here’s how it works:
Every Thursday, or sometimes Friday, Epic Games Store makes a new game, or games, available for players to download and add to their libraries for free. Forever. And it’s a super simple system too.
All gamers need to do to grab this gift for themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game on offer and add it to their library, ready for whenever the mood should strike.
This week Epic Games Store is coming in strong and offering gamers not one but two epic free games to download between now and the 22nd of June – Guacamelee! and Guacamelee! 2.
The Guacamelee games are Metroidvania-style action platformers set in a magical world inspired by traditional Mexican culture and folklore. The game features melee combat, parallel dimensions and same-screen co-op for up to four local players meaning no one has to feel left out.
When the game was first released, it received critical acclaim, and it’s a game that has only gotten better in the years since.
