Payday 3 Reveals Crossplay, DLC Plans, And Monetisation

The developer of Payday 3, Starbreeze, has finally revealed some new and juicy information about the upcoming heist game. During the Xbox Games Showcase, Starbreeze announced the game’s September release window, as well as some gameplay footage,

However, there was more to be revealed. Starbreeze has now gone on record about what fans can expect from the game’s content, monetisation and future.

What we know about Payday 2 so far is that the game will be set in New York and will have a $39.99 or R741 price point. We also know that the game will continue with the already established Payday 2’s monetisation scheme, and players can expect Tailor Packs and Weapon Packs DLCs.

The developers also announced a Gold season pass to unlock the first year’s worth of DLC content, including four DLCs of each type. In contrast, the Silver season pass will unlock half that content.

Payday 3 will also include an all-new in-game currency called PayDay Credits which will be used to purchase various cosmetic items. Starbreeze has also announced that Payday 3 will have full crossplay across all platforms at launch.

Payday 3 will be released on the 21st of September for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
