The upcoming Assassin’s Creed VR Game, Assassin’s Creed Nexus, wasn’t the only taste of the world-famous franchise featured at Ubisoft Forward. Assassin’s Creed Mirage took the stage during the event, revealing a brand new story trailer.
The trailer is the most in-depth look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans have had so far, and it shows Basim’s descent into madness alongside some actual gameplay to go with it. For those who might not already know Assassin’s Creed Mirage will explore Basim’s past in Baghdad and his entry into the Hidden Ones.
The setting and story are an obvious throwback to the game that started it all, Assassin’s Creed 1 but with the improved parkour from the Ezio generation games.
The gameplay showcased during the reveal focused on Basim reporting to his mentor Roshan after his first assassin meeting. During this scene, we see Basim go as an assassin does best and assassinate someone before taking off, showcasing some of the parkour fans can expect from the game.
The trailer also showcased some of the stealth elements, pursuits, assassination mechanics, and tools. Currently, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has a release date of 12 October this year and is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
