If I had to choose my all-time favourite multiplayer game, it wouldn’t be League of Legends like many here would expect. Instead, it would, without a doubt, be Payday. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been waiting with bated breath for Paydy 3, and now, not only is the game confirmed to release this year, but it will be heading to Xbox Game Pass as well.
A few days ago, a rumour about a release date for Payday 3 started making its way online. Still, with how quiet developer Overkill Software has been about the game, I was hesitant to get excited, but now, I finally can be.
Overkill Software has teased Payday 3 for what seems like a lifetime, but thanks to the Xbox Games Showcase, we now know that Payday 3 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one of release, which is confirmed for later this year.
Payday 2 was released over a decade ago, and even though many other studios would have abandoned the title by now, Overkill Studio has continued to show the game love and has been consistently releasing content for it.
The next title in the franchise, Payday 3, looks to be every bit as intense and high-octane as its predecessor, just with the added perk of taking advantage of the leaps forward in performance and graphics over the last ten years.
Payday 3 is officially releasing on the 21st of September for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and games subscribed to Xbox Game Pass will e able to play the game on day one at no additional cost.
Are you as excited about Payday 3 as I am? Let me know in the comments.
