Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Has Hot Air Balloons! And Other Stuff…

During last night’s Xbox Games Showcase, it was officially confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 would be arriving next year, to the surprise of no one. But what was surprising was the massive update the game would be receiving; not only to the aircraft players will be able to fly but also with the introduction of some new ways to explore the air like with hot air balloons, skydiving and more.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 developer Asobo looks to be going all out with the latest entry into the beloved flying franchise, giving players a chance to pilot almost any kind of aircraft they can dream of, even going as far as to put players into the pilot seat of an air ambulance and letting them be part of a search and rescue team.

The game will also add helicopters for cargo transport, industrial cargo planes, and remote cargo operations. During the trailer, developer Asobo took the chance to showcase the VIP charter services, skydive aviation, air racing, and hot air balloon trips as well.

But all the news wasn’t just centred on the upcoming version of Microsoft Flight Simulator; Asobo is showing the current version some love, and a Dune expansion is due on the 3rd of November, which comes complete with a starship from the recent movie.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will launch next year for the Xbox Series X/S and, of course, on PC and will be accessible on Game Pass from day one.
