One of the cosy standout games from last year was Disney Dreamlight Valley. While I haven’t returned to it in a good few months, the game hasn’t slowed down when it comes to releasing new and fresh content. It has so much new content that it will feel like an entirely new game when I play again.
Now, Disney Dreamlight Valley announced the next Star Path, the Wonder of Pixar, focusing on Pixar movies and characters. To catch everyone up quickly, Disney Dreamlight Valley is a live service game that’s changing to become free-to-play.
To support this change, the game will have Star Paths, essentially battle passes, much like what games like Fortnite use. The idea is that players will buy a Star Path and then attempt to complete it to acquire exclusive content only available for a limited time.
When June’s update rolls around, the new Star Path will release alongside it, and players will finally be able to start on the Wonder of Pixar Star Path event. Players who purchase this path can unlock a new Dreamlight Style for Buzz Lightyear and several Turning Red cosmetics, including a onesie, a statue, and some motifs.
Disney Dreamlight Valley has yet to announce when the June update will be released, but I, for one, can’t wait.
