Over the weekend, the Lego Ideas team announced that a Jaws Lego set will soon be setting sail, and the horror fiend inside of me could not be more excited.
To bring those of you who might not know up to speed, Lego Ideas is a platform where Lego builders, enthusiasts, and fans can post their ideas for future Lego sets. If the team likes the idea and it becomes popular enough amongst the Lego Ideas community, it might just be made into an actual set – much like the Jaws that has just been confirmed.
The Lego Ideas team has yet to commit to a final release date or the cost for the set, but they did release some early prototype images, which are enough to win any Jaws fan over to the brick-building world.
As any Jaws fan will tell you, you can’t have a Jaws Lego set without the titular shark, and Lego is not skimping in that department. Not only will the Jaws set come with the shark, but the shark will also be modelled to be just as big as the Orca, the fishing boat in the film.
The set will also come with three notable mini-figures: Chief Martin Brody, Matt Hooper, and Quint.
But now we want to know what you think of these prototype images. Are you shifting things around in your house to make space for this set? Because I know I am.
