Another apology letter cropped up on social media this weekend, this time from Asypr Media. If you don’t know who they are, they were the team that was originally made in charge of the Star Wars KOTOR remake.
The remake was taken away from Aspyr and given to Saber Interactive after an internal demo between them and Sony didn’t go according to plan and it seems like that wasn’t the only thing the team couldn’t achieve.
The apology letter has been sent out because Aspyr are cancelling the DLC content for the Switch Version of Star Wars: KOTOR 2. The Restored Content DLC was originally a fan-made mod that included a few extra side missions and some dialogue options that were removed from the original game, but kept in the games files.

The Aspyr team also launched the Switch port of KOTOR 2 without players being able to finish the game.
It seems like there’s a bit of a trend here. Maybe Aspyr is just full of Trekkies.
In any case, the team offered up game key codes to those who purchased KOTOR 2 on Switch before the apology was made in an attempt to put out the fire.
