Ah, finally! It’s the email we’ve all been waiting for—our official invite to the PlayStation Showcase.
Promising a “wealth of new games and IP” coming to both the PS5 and the PS VR2 system, we can’t help but feel excited to see what will be revealed.
PlayStation says the event will run for just over an hour and will focus on the PS5 and PS VR2 games being released, not only from PlayStation studios but also from their third-party and indie partners.
What can we expect from the showcase? Well, for one, Spider Man 2 was said to have a 2023 release date, and we still haven’t seen that being released, so that’s probably on the cards. We might see something on the infamous walking simulator Death Stranding 2, but with the Summer Games Fest around the corner as well, PlayStation might be keeping DS2 for then. Another exciting thing that’s likely to be on the cards is the multiplayer version of The Lost of Us. That’s something I could really get into as I desperately need friends to protect me from all the jump scares I get from Clickers.
Of course, everything is just speculation at this point. PlayStation could have anything up their sleeves, but that’s what’s so exciting.
