It’s cold and the loadshedding just means we can’t keep our heaters running for longer than an hour. I understand your frustrations, but I’m here to offer an outlet.
With the weekend upon us, there could be nothing better than settling in for some mindless hacking and slashing. Release all that tension built up inside you. Release it upon the unknown foes in the host of games that GOG currently has on special in their latest Hack ‘n Slash sale.
There are some real bangers on the list going for an absolute steal of a price. Most games are going for around R100, so ditch that bottle of brannas and grab something that’ll keep you entertained for a little bit longer.
My notable picks from the list are:
Lords of The Fallen – R70
Lords of the Fallen offers up one of the original “souls-like” experiences. Released back in 2013 it bears similarities to the Dark Souls franchise, but in its own fallen flavour. A challenging play through that will keep you entertained all weekend long.
Enter the Gungeon – R120
Enter the Gungeon is a pixel-art, bullet-hell, dungeon crawling rougelite created for the exact purpose of letting off some steam. Ok, maybe it wasn’t created for that exact reason, but it sure is a heckin’ good way to do so. Pick from 4 playable characters as you make your way through an ever changing “gungeon” in the hopes of finding the ultimate gun that can change the past.
Moonlighter – R70
Another indie rougelite (picking up a pattern here), where you run a shop by day but by night you explore the countless, unknown realms, picking up treasures and wares to stock up your shelves. Moonlighter dishes out stylish combat in a beautifully drawn art style.
