The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Boasts Over 10 Million In Sales In Just Three Days

Nintendo is one of those companies whose original games have shaped an entire industry. One such franchise is Zelda, which has amassed an almost cult-like following through the years, highlighted by the latest entry into the franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, selling over 10 million units in only three days.

This astounding milestone made The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom the fastest-selling game to come out of The Legend of Zelda series and the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game.

“Many players are returning to Hyrule with all its new mysteries and possibilities, and with the record-breaking launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch, we can’t wait to see what they’ll create in the game and the stories they’ll share next. We’re grateful for all of our fans who’ve shown their passion for The Legend of Zelda over the years, and these sales numbers for the latest instalment continue to show the strong momentum for both the franchise and Nintendo Switch this year.” – Devon Pritchard from Nintendo of America.
