It’s always a good day when Niantic and The Pokemon Company make changes or at least hint at them for the much-loved AR game Pokemon Go. Now it seems like the latest juicy tidbit to tease fans is that the long-awaited arrival of the Master Ball item in Pokemon GO might be on the horizon.
The Master Ball is a ball that would allow Pokemon GO players to quickly catch any Pokemon of their choosing while travelling to PokeStops, gyms, and raid locations – an actual game changer for players.
It’s hard to believe that Pokemon Go is over seven years old and still constantly receiving love and support from players and Niantic.
Millions of active players flock to the game each month to participate in the monthly raids and events, including the recurring Community Day event. Those players are in for a treat thanks to a significant new teased event, including the mythic Master Ball.
On the official Pokemon GO Instagram account, there is a post hinting at the debut of the Master Ball for an upcoming event. The teaser image depicts all available Poke Balls, with the only exception being the Master Ball. The post also states that something new is developing, further fueling the fire that the Master Ball is on its way.
Recent finds by dataminers have confirmed that there is a Master Ball container concealed with the game’s files. However, neither Niantic nor The Pokemon Company confirmed anything about this when pressed.
If the teaser is correct and Master Balls arrive in the game, it could empower players to leverage these super-strong balls during the upcoming Legendary Pokemon event.
