Fortnite, is always popular and somehow the game of choice between the folks at NAG. Not my choice but democracy.
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that ranked modes will be added to most of the current game modes in Fortnite. I love this! For me ranked mode adds that little bit of extra flavour that makes the player want it more. In a regular mode, if you lose then meh, it doesn’t really matter, but if you suddenly start losing points and positions because you brought a gun to a sword fight, then things start to matter.
Ranked mode also enables players to be matched with those of a similar skill level, most of the time. In Fortnite especially, I feel like this is a biggy. In most games I’ve played, I’ve either felt too good or too pathetic. I’d enjoy a game where I know the enemy is in a similar skill bracket.
While they aren’t adding ranks to every mode, these are the ones that will be getting the treatment:
Battle Royale
- Solo
- Duos
- Squads
Zero Build
- Duos
You’ll be able to climb your way up from Bronze 3 to “Unreal” to show off your skill in-game. If you make it all the way into the Unreal leagues, you’ll have the good fortune of being locked in there for the season. Here you will be given an actual number showing off your global rank amongst other Fortnite players.
