Indie Live Expo 2023 Teases 300+ Games to be Revealed

As a lover of indie games, it excites me to see so many more of them coming out into the world. Sure, some of them are misses, but many of them are hits, and it’s those sneaky, hidden gems that make gaming fun again.

This year the Indie Live Expo, a 2-day online event that showcases upcoming indie games, their development teams and a stack of indie news, has teased that they have over 300 games to announce.

Three. Hundred. That’s more than enough games to tantalise anyone out there.

The expo is broadcast in three different languages, namely English, Japanese and Chinese. The English broadcasters are streamer and Indie Live Expo veteran MC: Kaori “Kaotan” Horiuchi and independent games streamer J-mon. You can catch the livestream on the 20th of May, starting at lunchtime exactly (12PM).

Day one of the expo features the hosts going through new and upcoming indie titles, their demo trailers and getting their hands a little dirty trying to play them. It will also include information on the updates that are rolling through to our current favourite indie games. Day two features, The Aftershow, with more of a “let’s play” aspect of the games, where our hosts will be doing more of an in-depth run-through of what the indie community has to offer.

Having watched the expo from last year, I can admit that there are a few cringe-worthy moments, but it does showcase what’s happening out there in the wide ol’ world and gives smaller studios a chance to shine.
