Love it or hate it, there is no denying how active Blizzard is with Overwatch 2 when arranging events to keep the player base entertained. The latest of these events is Starwatch: Galactic Rescue, which comes part and parcel with some free rewards for everyone who plays.
In April, Season 4 of Overwatch 2 rolled out. The most notable of the new content was introducing a new hero to the roster, Lifeweaver. Now, everything is getting stirred up with the new Starwatch: Galactic Rescue event, which started yesterday and will run until the 22nd of May.
Starwatch: Galactic Rescue is Overwatch 2’s first PVP/PVE hybrid event. During the event, two teams will be formed. They will face off against each other in a four-point Assault match on the Infinite Galactrius, a ship transformed from the Lunar Colony map.

Alongside this new and fun game mode, there are also various new challenges for players to unlock all-new cosmic cosmetics for free. Some of these cosmetics include Wrecking Ball’s new Asteroid epic skin and Sigma’s new epic skin.
The event also sees the release of a free and interactive comic, Starwatch: An Echo of Hope, which tells the story of the Watchers’ escape from the Infinite Empire. The winning side of Starwatch: Galactic Rescue will determine the galaxy’s fate in a second comic, which will be released when the event ends.
