We reached out to Sam to ask how she felt about being a part of the Major, and this is what she had to say:
From a personal point of view I think it is any Counter-Strike broadcaster’s dream to be part of a team that helps showcase a Major to the many fans around the world. It truly is a dream come true and I’m honoured that Blast.tv has put their faith in me to do the job.
Saying that, I am fully aware that I’m the “noob” on the broadcast team and that the ramp up from a handful of lower tier international CSGO events to a Major is a steep one. With this being the last CSGO Major and the only Major for 2023, I’m cognisant of the gravitas of the event as well as high expectations from the viewers. As a fan of Counter-Strike first and foremost, I get that. I really will do my utmost best to do the players and the fans justice.
Honestly, I’m just so excited to see Sam strutting her stuff at such an epic event. It fills me with pride knowing that we have someone with such talent in our midst. I can’t wait to watch Sam in all her “nooby” glory on-screen during the Paris Majors, starting with the Challengers bracket on May 8th.
