I don’t know about you, but I like to have a specific thing for each activity I do. These shoes? These are my running shoes, not my hiking shoes, not my lawn mowing shoes, not my walking shoes, my running shoes. That controller? That’s my Switch controller, not my PC controller, fridge controller, or Switch controller. This is the way I like things. It works for me. Just let me have my dirty-house-work shorts.
Speaking of, I am up for a new PC Controller since my current one is getting a little… crunchy. 8BitDo makes some super sexy controllers, and I’ve been eyeing out the PRO2 in that classic beige and maroon colorway. I also love the design of the SN30 Pro. I might need both of these. In fact, I might need three 8BitDo controllers as they have just opened up pre-orders for the budget version of their Ultimate Controller, the Ultimate C.
Coming in a sultry Lilac Purple and a smooth Filed Green colour, the Ultimate C provides the ultimate experience but simplified. While still offering the same comfort, grip and quality of the original Ultimate controller, the team at 8BitDo have removed the mapping capabilities, the back paddles and Switch support from the Ultimate C. So if you’re looking for an easy plug-n-play experience without losing out on much else, then I’d recommend you have a squiz at the Ultimate C.
The Ultimate C comes in a wired and wireless 2.4ghz option, so you can sit right up on your gaming device of choice or take a more leisurely approach and sit way back on your lazy boy. The wired option is available for pre-order on Amazon for around $20 (R370), and the wireless option is up for a steal at $30 (R550). Of course, this excludes shipping, so I may wait until the local suppliers have stock and compare the prices.
