A long time ago in a galaxy… really close by. This one. I’m talking about this one. A young Arielle sat beside her dad, all too excited that she was being snuck in to watch her first-ever Star Wars movie on the big screen. They say that in life, certain moments define who we are as people; for me, this was one of those moments.
Throughout the years, my love for all things Star Wars has only grown, and it’s on days like today that I get to share at least some of that love with you guys – so best know I’m going to take full advantage.
Recently I started playing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, which sent me down a rabbit hole of discovering all the many, many other Star Wars games I hadn’t yet gotten around to, which led to me putting together this list that I’m about to share with all of you.
So if, like me, you’ve found yourself desperately wondering what Star Wars games are out there and in what chronological order they should be played, I’ve got you covered. So without taking up any more of your precious May the 4th, here are all the significant Star Wars games in their correct chronological orders, alongside the links to each game. Enjoy.
The Old Republic Era

The Old Republic Era, sometimes called the Sith Era, takes place from the founding of the Republic until the Seventh Battle of Ruusan and the end of the New Sith Wars. This is a period filled with assassin droids like the HK-47 and Jedi.

In other words, it encompasses the whole Golden Age of the Old Republic. This is the era where the entire Prequel trilogy, Episode I, The Phantom Menace, Episode II, Attack of the Clones, and Episode III, Revenge of the Sith, takes place, as well as the Clone Wars.

The New Republic Era

The New Republic Era was first introduced onscreen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where viewers saw The New Republic as the ruling government of the galaxy and the primary target of the First Order. This timeline is then explored through the Jedi Knight series. But with the roaring success of The Mandalorian, this timeline will likely be further explored in games shortly.
