This Is Not The Update You’re Looking For – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gets An Update For PS5 And Xbox

It’s always amusing when updates and patches appear and address everything under the sun except for the things they genuinely need to. In the case of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a game we are itching to dive into, by the way, a new update patch has just arrived, but it’s not for PC.

In a bizarre turn of events, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has just received a rather significant patch for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles but not for PC, the platform where many of the bugs and glitches that have plagued the game exist. To be fair, PC has received a patch, but another one would be nice; just saying.

For those who might not know, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Even though the game has been plagued with issues on launch, it has still received favourable reviews from all who play it.

The game is set five years after the events of Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sees Cal embark on a new mission to uncover a hidden sanctuary lost in the days of the High Republic.

Thankfully, EA and Respawn have been quick on the trigger regarding patches. Today’s console patch will come in at 1.17GB and roll out fixes to various graphical issues, crashes and other issues. Here are some of the more significant fixes promised with this update:

  • Fixed crashes that were tied to skipping cinematics
  • Fixed an issue with registered Nekko colours not saving
  • Fixed an issue with registered Nekko disappearing from the stable
  • Fixed an issue with enemy AI remaining in T Pose during photo mode
  • Fixed an issue where players were getting stuck inside the Chamber of Duality if they didn’t save after leaving the chamber and die

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Are you playing it? If so, let us know your thoughts and feelings in the comments section while we try and get through this day so we can finally pick up a lightsaber and do as a good Jedi does, survive.
