Today is the 24th of April, and not only is it almost payday, but it’s also the day that the free Relics of the Old Faith DLC arrives for one of my favourite games, Cult of the Lamb.
For those who don’t already know, Cult of the Lamb’s Relics of the Old Faith DLC is an entirely free update that adds a genuinely ridiculous amount of ridiculous content to the game. Players can expect everything from new bosses, enemies, attacks, quests, buildings, followers and even missions.
Relics of the Old Faith DLC is far more comparable to an expansion and brings enough new content to draw only payers back into the game, even if doing so will be a tad uncomfortable.
But why would returning to such a glorious game be anything other than excellent, you may ask? Well, allow me to explain. Believe it or not, Cult of the Lamb was released in August of last year, and if you’re anything like me, you binge-played the game for the first few weeks, lost hours and hours of your life to it and then moved on.
This means many of our cults have been without a leader for roughly eight or so months at this point, and low and behold, our followers are not happy about this.
Alongside the DLC, Cult of the Lamb has a new mechanic where followers comment on how long the player has left them alone to fend for themselves, so if you’re looking not to be shamed upon your return, a new cult might be in order.
Cult of the Lamb and its free DLC is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
