Xbox Home Dashboard Is Changing Following Complaints

It’s always great when a large company like Microsoft takes community feedback into account and implements changes accordingly, which is what is happening here.

Following ongoing complaints from the community about the Xbox Home dashboard being too cluttered and chaotic, Microsoft has said it will implement changes in the future.

Last year, Microsoft announced that Xbox Insiders would be invited to help shape the new Xbox Home experience, and now we’re seeing them stand by that statement. After a series of multi-month experiments to learn how to create a more personalised home screen experience and address some of the top trends and fan requests, Microsoft released the new Xbox Home dashboard, but to say it wasn’t received well is an understatement.

In a blog post released this morning, Microsoft said it is hard at work to balance the experience, accessibility, function, and the community’s needs to bring a great and refreshed Home experience.

“Thank you for all the feedback you’ve shared. It’s a key part of our process, and our team is working hard to incorporate it into the experience and get it to you to use. We are excited to share even more details with you soon!” Ivy Krislov, senior product manager lead, Xbox experiences, said in the post.

A core complaint in the community was how crowded everything felt and how the new UI blocked the backgrounds that users could choose. Still, hopefully, Microsoft stands by its statements and works to resolve this moving forward.
