It’s Thursday, that great day of the week when Epic Games decides to be the sugar daddy of our dreams and dish out free games. Unlike a regular Sugar Daddy, Epic isn’t doing it for anything in return except for getting you to play on their platform.
For those who don’t live their week desperate for free games or don’t know about it yet, every Thursday, Epic Games Store makes a new game, or games if you’re lucky, available for players to download and add to their libraries for free.
All gamers need to do to grab this gift for themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game on offer and add it to their library. That game is then yours to keep, to play or to add to an ever-growing list of games you mean to play but probably never will.
This week, Epic is once again offering up two free games. Mordhau and Second Extinction are available from today, the 13th, until the 20th of April to redeem.
Mordhau is best described as a multiplayer medieval slasher where players will create their own mercenary to fight in brutal battlers in first and third person. Each battlefield boasts up to 64 players where only the fastest and most ruthless will survive.
Mordhau boasts much for fans of the medieval theme to love, from small-scale engagements to 64-player all-out war in modes such as Frontline and Invasion. The game also has cooperative and offline play where players can fight waves of enemies alongside friends or practice skills against a challenging AI.
Second Extinction isn’t just another co-op shooter. Instead, players will share a journey where they all help shape the experience. The goal of the game is easy, Reclaim the earth. Players will take on a horde of mutated dinosaurs with up to two friends in a game designed with squads in mind.
Second Extinction is an early access game where the developers want to work with the community to help craft Second Extinction into one of the best possible games. There are six heroes, eleven weapons and six missions spread across multiple regions for players to sink their teeth into.
If these two games sound like something you want to experience, remember to head over to the Epic Games Store and add the games to your library before the 20th of April to make sure you have them in your library to play whenever you want.
