Funko, the company perhaps most well-known for their iconic popular culture collatable figures, Funko Pop’s have partnered with Lucasfilm to reveal not one, not two, but four brand new Indiana Jones board games set to release this month and hopefully keep fans of the franchise entertained. At the same time, they countdown the days until Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premier on the 30th of June.

Our new product line captures the excitement and adventure of the Indiana Jones franchise while providing a broad range of fun and challenging gameplay experiences for players of all levels.” – Deirdre Cross, Head of Funko Games.
The idea behind the collaboration was to create a variety of board games that would appeal to Indiana Jones fans regardless of their comfort or skill level when it comes to board games and to draw potential new audiences in.
Indiana Jones Cryptic
Indiana Jones Cryptic is an escape room-style game that can be enjoyed as a single player or with friends. Players will face many of the franchise’s iconic traps, menacing villains, and supernatural threats in this puzzle-filled, action-packed game that will take players through 18 scenes from the films.
Using Dr Jones’ journal as their guide, it’s up to players to decipher ancient texts, uncover valuable clues, and defeat unknown evils with logic, deduction, and creative thinking.
Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol!
Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol! is a game for 2 – 10 players and will see physical action mixed with card-based gameplay. The game will see two teams pitted against each other, and players must compete to gain the most points by outmanoeuvring their opponents in twelve challenges that will keep everyone on the team involved.
Because of the game’s clever yet simple design, players can play Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol! again and again without becoming bored, they use the game’s custom components for reenacting iconic moments from the classic films.
Something Wild! Indiana Jones
Something Wild! Indiana Jones is a fast-paced, rules-lite card game for 2-4 players. The game comes complete with a collectable Indiana Jones Pocket Pop! figure and a full deck of cards featuring the Funko Pop’ed version of fan favourite characters from the film franchise.
Players will play these Character Cards in sets and run to score points, while Power Cards add fun new twists to the classic card gameplay. As with other Something Wild! Games, players can combine the Indiana Jones deck with different Something Wild! Games to add more characters, moves and powers to their game.
Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure
My favourite of the upcoming games is Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure. In this game, time is running out for 2-4 players, and it’s up to Indiana Jones and his friends to rescue the Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the wrong hands. Players must scour ancient Tanis to find the elusive relic while building up strength and resources. Players need to act fast because when the sand timer swings over, it triggers a race for survival.
Fans of Indiana Jones are set to have one of the best years for the franchise to date. Not only is it great for board game lovers but with the new film set to drop in just a few months and a new Indiana Jones video game in the works, it’s a great time to be a fan.
