Age of Darkness: Final Stand was released into early access in October 2021, one and a half years ago. Since then the developers, PlaySide, have been releasing updates to the game in the form of new heroes, new units for your army, new buildings and, of course, bug fixes.
I know that may sound like a common thing for Early Access games, and maybe this is just because I really enjoy the game, but the quality of work being put out by PlaySide feels… better. So when I heard that they were finally releasing a campaign mode, I couldn’t wait to share it with all of you!
Flames of Retribution Campaign Acts I and II will be launching on April 19th, it will be Age of Darkness’ most significant update since its Early Access launch. It brings with it seven of the ten fully voice-acted campaign chapters, as well as a new hero that can be used in its already superb survival mode; Merek. Yes, some other updates and tweaks are included, but that’s all the boring stuff. With the release of Campaign Mode, the next step, according to the road map, is multiplayer. Somebody pinch me.
