Pokemon GO Announces Spring Into Spring Event

We might be rapidly entering winter, as is a testament by the nest of blankets I have huddled around me, but in some parts of the world, Spring is on the horizon, which means it’s time for Pokemon GO’s annual Spring Into Spring event. It’s been a busy few weeks for Niantic’s Pokemon GO game, showing no signs of slowing down in April.

March saw Pokemon GO Season 10, which was filled with events and experiences for players. It was also the debut of Regidrago in Pokemon GO, bringing one of the Legendary Titans to Niantic’s game. The game also started testing new features to change the dynamics of Raids, making them even more exciting and easy to participate in.

Now Pokemon GO has announced its first big event for April, Spring Into Spring which will kick off on the 4th of April and run until the 10th. The Spring Into Spring event will debut the Bug/Fairy-type Cutiefly and its evolution Ribombee, expanding the list of Fairy-type creatures available in Pokemon GO.

Players can also find versions of Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu and Eevee adorned with cherry blossoms to celebrate the event. The event will also give 2x Hatch Candy, reduce the distance needed to hatch eggs, and will increase the duration of Lucky Eggs activated.

The event will have special Raids, including five-star Raids with Lugia and Mega Raids with Lopunny. In Raids, eggs, and research tasks, players can also find rare, shiny Pokemon.
