As a gamer, many things make me happy but perhaps the thing that makes me happiest of all is when a game announces it will have full crossplay across all platforms on launch. Like many others out there, my gaming group has evolved over the years and now all sit on various platforms so when Redfall developer Arkane announced crossplay last night I was excited, to say the least.
Using Twitter Redfall confirmed that on release the game will allow Xbox Series X|S, PC Game Pass, Steam, and Epic Game Store players to all team up and play. Oh, and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass user, you’ll also be able to jump in using crossplay, regardless of if you own the full game or not.

Over the last while crossplay has become more and more prevalent with many of the first-party Xbox games like Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite supporting it from day one. Redfall developers also addressed how the game will handle difficulty scaling saying:
“Depending on the size of your party, you’ll see changes in the sorts of enemies you encounter, how strong they are compared to solo, and the frequency of elite traits.”
Those eager to jump into Redfall don’t have much longer to wait. The game is scheduled to release on the 2nd of May and will also be available on day one via Game Pass.
