It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, five to be exact, Elden Ring was celebrating its first birthday? anniversary? Many fans eagerly anticipated this milestone because, considering how wildly successful the game has been, very little new content has been released for it – something fans were hoping would change on the 25th… only it didn’t.
However, the disappointment didn’t last long because yesterday, Elden Ring developer FromSoftware decided to treat everyone to post-birthday spoils by announcing Elden Ring’s first expansion called Shadow Of The Erdtree via Twitter.
Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together.
An upcoming expansion for #ELDENRING Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development.

The announcement states that the expansion is currently in development but doesn’t elaborate beyond that point. As for what fans of the game can expect from this upcoming expansion? Who knows. Since the announcement yesterday, the internet has gone wild with theories about the art used for the announcement. Fans have been pulling at every thread possible from theories suggesting that it’s Miquella in the corner sat upon Torrent to the tree either dripping gold or honey.
It’s a wild and exciting time, and I’m sure it will only get crazier as the wait for the expansion continues. Are you excited about the expansion? Let me know in the comments.
