It’s hard to believe it’s already almost March. However, some mornings I wake up, and it’s hard to believe it’s only March. Thankfully the one highlight of every new month, the one thing that’s always consistent and there for me, is the PlayStation Plus Free Games, and March has three great ones.
During February’s State of Play livestream, PlayStation revealed the upcoming games that PlayStation Plus subscribers would have to look forward to on March 7th, and those games are:
Battlefield 2042 – PS4; PS5
It’s always great when Sony supplies both the PS4 and the PS5 versions of a game, and this month that game is Battlefield 2042. While many may remember the game for having an exceptionally rocky launch back in 2021, the game you’ll receive when you download it now is much improved and pretty good. It also helps that trying it out won’t cost you a single cent if you’re curious.
Minecraft Dungeons – PS4
I don’t need to try and win anyone over on Minecraft. At this point, you either love it or hate it, and there’s nothing I’m going to say to change your mind… except for throwing the name Diablo into the conversation. Minecraft Dungeons is undoubtedly still a Minecraft game, but if I had to compare it to something else, that something else would be Diablo. Players will be hacking and slashing their way through waves of enemies on the endless search for loot, either on their own or with friends.
Code Vein – PS4
Code Vein is a Bandai Namco action RPG with a solid anime aesthetic and an even more solid souls-like experience. The game can be played alone or with a friend, and if you’ve found yourself looking for another Dark Souls-type game, you won’t go wrong trying out Code Vein when it releases.
All three games will be available to download to your account from the 7th of March until the 3rd of April, regardless of which tier of PlayStation Plus you’re subscribed to. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have games that need playing because I have space that needs making…
