The next big update, and the most exciting selection of post-launch content for Gran Turismo 7, update 1.29, will feature a slew of new and exciting vehicles and the return of the classic Grand Valley racetrack – alongside other fixes and technical updates.
The following cars have been added to the game:
- Citroën DS 21 Pallas ’70 (available for purchase at Legend Cars)
- Honda RA272 ’65 (available for purchase at Legend Cars)
- Italdesign EXENEO Vision Gran Turismo Street Mode
- Italdesign EXENEO Vision Gran Turismo Off-road Mode
- Porsche 911 Carrera RS (901) ’73 (available for purchase at Legend Cars)
While there’s much for players to look forward to in this update, the most exciting is the introduction of GT Sophy. Now if you’re asking yourself, “what is GT Sophy”? We’ve got you covered. In a nutshell, GT Sophy is a unique AI specialising in racing. The hope is that its implementation will lead to far more exciting and competitive behaviour in racing video games.
GT Sophy is capable of self-learning and can beat professional sim racers in Gran Turismo without cheating. Polyphony Digital and Sony developed GT Sophy in a joint venture by leveraging various deep-learning models. However, the current version of GT Sophy will only be available for a limited time, exclusively to PlayStation 5.
