It’s that magical time of the year again when Battlefield players have a reason to return to their favourite game. That reason is called Eleventh Hour, and it’s Battlefield 2042’s fourth season. From a new map (with an all too familiar setting) to hardware and even a recon specialist – this update brings a plethora of new content to the game, and it’s arriving on February 28.
To start us off here, let’s talk about the new map, Flashpoint, which is set in our backyard in South Africa. The map features a variety of indoor spaces to encourage close-quarter combat. At the same time, the outside promotes snippers and tank-based war. The Discarded map will also be receiving a rework in the upcoming update.
Eleventh Hour will also see a new recon specialist, Camila Blasco, whose X6-infiltration device highlights enemy tech, added to the rotation. She is also undetectable by motion sensors. The update includes the CAV-Brawler, a nimble armoured personnel carrier, and a mobile spawn point.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to return to Battlefield, this is it. The new Battle Pass will be dropping on February 28 with all the content subscribers have come to expect. It’s also a great time to dive back in as DICE recently replaced Battlefield 2042’s specialist builds with the franchise’s traditional class-based system – an improvement many players were waiting for.
