Top 5 PS Deluxe Picks of the Month – February

Sometimes, here at NAG, we like to play games; go figure.

We bet you like them too, but with fifteen bazillion options out there, sometimes, it can be a little hard to choose something to play. So, we’re going to pick them for you!
These are some of our top picks from the PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription for the month of February

Crew 2 [Link] – Trent’s Pick

This was the first game I played after I subscribed to PS Plus Deluxe. I absolutely love cars, and if that is your thing, then this massive open-world game is for you. Released in 2018, the game is approaching its 6th year, however, it still continues to feature new vehicles, and not just cars; the game has a range of boats, planes and motorcycles for you to ride and fly. Crew 2 features a massive open world that spans the United States, allowing players to race in various environments, including cities, deserts, forests, and mountains. The game also includes a wide range of events and challenges, both single-player and multiplayer, that provide hours of entertainment for racing fans.

Greedfall [Link] – Codys Pick

A PS4 title that has been enhanced for PS5, Greedfall is an epic RPG on par with Dragon Age. Fully customizable character progression and story choices mean the game plays out how you choose it to. Experience the mysteries and magic in an evolving world that you have a hand in shaping, whether by combat or diplomacy. Adventure with companions that are just as influenced by your actions as your enemies and uncover the magic in the world that has been kept a secret by otherworldly beings. Another time sink that will keep you hooked for hours upon hours.

Back 4 Blood [Link] – Trent’s Pick

Who doesn’t love a good zombie-killing game? One of the more expensive games included in PS Plus Deluxe (originally R1,249) Back 4 Blood is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by a parasitic virus that turns people into monsters. Players take on the role of one of several survivors, each with unique abilities, as they battle hordes of infected and work together to complete objectives. The game features both a single-player campaign and a cooperative multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to team up and fight against the infected together. Back 4 Blood also offers a deep card-based system that allows players to customize their characters and playstyle.

Returnal [Link] – Codys Pick

One of the PS5 launch titles, Returnal is a rogue-like sci-fi space story that you just have to pick up, if you haven’t already. I have had my eye on it for a while, but never pulled the trigger until I saw it come up for “free” on the PlayStation Plus Deluxe Tier. It’s designed for PS5 so it takes full advantage of the Dual Sense Controller, you can feel every drop of rain in the palm of your hands, and it performs superbly well. As a rogue-like fan myself, this one is done proper! The team behind Returnal built the story into the rouge-like styler excellently, and I can’t recommend this game enough. Say goodbye to work weekends because they’re about to be stolen by Returnal.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service [Link] – CO-OP Pick! (Because Two Brains Are Better Than One)

This outrageously silly and entertaining game takes the idea of delivering packages to absurd and hilarious extremes. Players take on the role of delivery drivers in a world that feels like it was plucked straight out of a cartoon, complete with wacky vehicles, ridiculous physics, and colourful characters. The game’s ragdoll physics engine adds an extra layer of fun and unpredictability to the experience, as players must navigate their way through the game’s many challenges and obstacles while trying not to topple over or crash. With its over-the-top humour and enjoyable multiplayer gameplay, Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a game that’s easy to recommend to anyone looking for a lighthearted and entertaining gaming experience, alone or with friends.

If, somehow, you manage to get through all 5 of these before our next month’s post, well, we promise to do better and pick much, much harder and longer games for you to play. If not, well, then you’re welcome! We hope you enjoy these as much as we did, but if you’ve got anything on your mind that you’d like us to give a run-through before you waste your hard-earned download time on it, then let us know in the comments below.
