Dead Space Remake Is Now Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Motive Studio, an Electronic Arts. subsidiary, has recently released the highly anticipated remake of the classic sci-fi survival horror game Dead Space. The game is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Since its initial reveal in 2021, Dead Space has been on various “Most Anticipated” lists and has received positive reviews, with some calling it “one of the best survival horror shooters” and even “one of the best games of all time.”

In Dead Space, players take on the character of Isaac Clarke, an engineer on a mission to repair the mining starship USG Ishimura. However, he quickly discovers that the ship’s crew has been slaughtered and that his girlfriend, Nicole, has gone missing. In order to survive, Isaac must fight both the terrifying monsters called Necromorphs and his own sanity. The game was rebuilt from the ground up using the Frostbite game engine and offers improved audio and visuals for an even more immersive experience.

Dead Space features key gameplay improvements, such as an enhanced engineering fantasy and a fully interconnected Ishimura with no load screen or camera cut to break the immersion. The game also features an Intensity Director, which dynamically adjusts what appears in Isaac’s path as he explores both new and old areas of the USG Ishimura. Lastly, the Peeling System introduces and allows players to interact with layered flesh, tendons and bones in new ways during combat.

Players can purchase the game for R1069 on consoles and R999.95 on PC, with the option to buy the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition for added extras. If you’re an EA Play member, you can get 10% off.

Will Isaac survive the horrors of the USG Ishimura? Only you can tell.
