UK Streamer Plays Elden Ring Using Her Mind

Sometimes the ingeniousness, creativity, and self-loathing of fellow humans astound me. First, we had people willingly choosing to play Elden Ring. Through the game’s frustration-inducing combat, some people still willingly chose to subject themselves to it. Then we had a streamer, MissMikkaa, who decided just playing the game needed to be more challenging and played through Elden Ring using a dance pad.

And if you foolishly thought there was no way the bar could be raised from there, you’d be wrong. Now there is a UK-based streamer known as Perri who has laughed at all of us and decided to play Elden Ring using her mind. Yup, you read that right.

I used electroencephalogram technology to compare my brain activity between normal and “focused” states, and then keybinded the latter to the attack button on my controller! #eldenring #eldenringhype #eldenringgameplay #eldenringedit #psychology #brain #scienceexperiments #didyouknow #neuroscience #live #gaming #gamingontiktok #gametok #gamingtiktok #neuroscience #eldenlord

As you can see from the TikTok video above, Perri has recently started playing through Elden Ring using an Electroencephalogram (EEG), which is basically the headset Professor Xavier wears in the X-Men. This headset uses a sensor pad soaked in a saline solution to create conductivity that detects the brain’s electrical activity.

All jokes aside, the fact that this works and that you can see the streamer cast spells on NPCs to kill them while backing up to avoid damage and switching weapons is a tremendous leap for accessibility and inclusivity in games. This deserves to be supported.
