Every single passing day, I’m grateful to be alive. Not for any of those motivational-Facebook-post reasons, but because each day, we get closer to the release of Hogwarts Legacy.
Avalanche Software, the developers behind this magical game, seem more than willing to match my energy and give me more and more reasons to be excited. Today’s motivation is all of the side quests.
When I started gaming as a child, I had no opinion on side quests, and if I could skip them and rush through the story, I did.
However, as a full-fledged adult, I’ve come to appreciate the existence of side-quests in games and consider them a huge part of the overall game experience. And Hogwarts Legacy boasts over 100 of these bad boys.

Oh, and if that wasn’t exciting enough, according to Moira Squier, the game’s narrative director and advanced game writer, each of these side quests affect the overall game story.
“Everything is interconnected. The main storyline is complicated and engaging and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints,” Squier said. “But by giving the player choice moments throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story.”
It’s also up to players how and when to tackle each side quest. “The order in which the player chooses to complete these quests will impact their story and game.”
Hogwarts Legacy releases on the 10th of February. Will you be playing the game? Let us know in the comments below.
