Trek To Yomi Coming To Switch

One of my favourite gaming devices that I own is my Nintendo Switch. Yup. You heard me. Sure, my PC and PS5 are great, and I’m not even going to try and convince you that my Switch is a better-performing piece of hardware because it’s not). Still, portability is the one thing that sets the Switch apart and makes it invaluable.

Feeling ill and don’t want to drag yourself out of bed? Switch has your back. Going on a road trip and can only handle the thrill of shouting “cows!” so many times? Switch has you covered. For this reason and this reason alone, my Switch is my favourite child; just don’t tell the others.

Roughly a year ago, I reviewed Trek To Yomi here at NAG (you can read that post by clicking this link), and against all my expectations, I was a fan. I summed up my review by urging anyone who had seen the trailer and thought it looked good to pick it up and give it a try.

“While brief, Trek to Yomi is a gorgeous side-scroller that feels like the back and white Samurai movies from my childhood. Trek To Yomi is far from perfect; however, it is the ideal way to spend an afternoon and fans of the genre won’t regret the experience.”

Trek To Yomi was first released in May 2022 for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. On January 30th, Trek To Yomi is coming to Nintendo Switch; if you’re like me, with a strong draw to comfort and convenience but still want to play something that feels special, then this is a title worth your time and gold coins.

Those eager samurai ready to jump in can pre-order the game through the Nintendo eShop for R360. And for those scared the post won’t be any good, Trek to Yomi is developed by Devolver Digital, and all of their Switch Games have been solid.
