2022 was filled to the absolute brim with great games. Still, for me, only a small handful truly stand out as spectacular, and man, oh man, is Cult of the Lamb spectacular. There aren’t enough words to express how much I loved this game; now, I have a reason to return to it.
At the end of 2022, the developers behind Cult of the Lamb spoke in very general terms about having more content planned for the game in 2023. Now they’ve made good on that statement. Kicking the year off, we’ve just received a massive quality-of-life update for the game entirely for free.

This update will allow players to perform mass blessings, rebind their controls and rename their cult, something I’m beyond thankful for because past Arielle had no idea how to name a cult correctly. Alongside a plethora of bug fixes and exploit patches, the game has also received some improvements to the UI and added the ability to auto-cook and auto-fish in the Accessibility settings.
According to the roadmap, this update is only the start of new content. The team will add new dimensions to combat, dungeons, and more to the game’s endgame content.
