Cyberpunk 2077 To Get A Game Of The Year Ediition

Lately, there is no denying that the highly troubled Cyberpunk 2077 has been receiving its fair share of TLC and love in the form of the Phantom Liberty expansion and multiple large patches. While the game still isn’t at the point that many expected it to be back when it was first released a million years ago, it is fixed to the point that many would now consider it worth playing.

So much so, that Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY Edition is scheduled for a 2023 release. While it’s been a long time since game of the year meant something, Cyberpunk 2077 has been on an upward spiral over the last couple of months.

This is probably due to expectations being at an all-time low and some great sales, but the last big update has seen the game’s Steam rating soar. Adding to that the success of the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, CD Projekt Red has just celebrated the best third quarter the company has ever had.

For those looking to dive into the game for the very first time or return to Night City, the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion will be a spy-thriller set in a new district of Night City. The expansion will boast an entirely new cast of characters—although Keanu Reeves confirmed that Johnny Silverhand would return.

What do you think of this news? Will you be returning to the game for its GOTY edition? Let us know in the comments.
