As a game reviewer, talking about crappy games is hardly new for me; if I’m being honest, it’s a massive part of what I do. However, getting to talk about a game centred around CRAP? Well, that’s an entirely different ballgame and one of the reasons we’ve all gathered here today.
Over the last day or ten or so, we at NAG have been diving into some of the exhibitors readers can expect at rAge Expo 2022 to express our compounding excitement. Throughout these posts, we’ve covered many types of services, stalls, developers and games, but somehow nothing quite as… poopy… as this.
Long Drop is developer Slakkedis Studio’s debut game, and it’s a casual (but quirky) medieval puzzler set in a time when hygiene was a luxury few could be afforded. Oh, and if all of my shitty puns didn’t give it away, it’s also a game focused on poop.
The game’s description on Steam reads: Forged in the bowels of darkness, forsaken to the underbelly of kingdoms, forgotten by nobles and rabble alike. But there is hope! The chosen has come; lead us through the mucks of the Long Drop! You, the chosen, will have to lead the poople through the mucks of the Long Drop so that they can be united together with the rest of their kind. YOU, are their ONLY hope, master poop flinger!
Players will find themselves solving puzzles while they fling their way through the mucks of the Long Drop, earning new poole with unique (yet consistently shitty) abilities along the way. Throughout the game, there are five poops to unlock alongside dozens of skins, letting players not only play as any poop but the poop of their dreams.
Long Drop took 18 months to develop, and to celebrate the launch of the game (happening today), there is a supper poopy holiday event where players can unlock holiday-themed outfits to dress up and polish up their turds.
Readers interested in getting their hands on some of this fancy poop can head over to the Home Coded stall at rAge Expo 2022 to see the game in action and, who knows, maybe even get the chance to fling around some of the poop then and there.
As of 6 pm tonight, Long Drop is available on Steam and the Playstore. For more info, readers can head over to the official rAge Expo website by clicking here or check out Long Drop on Facebook or Instagram.
Happy pooping.
